Glorious Being Center, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, holds the vision to create a “Global Awakening“ by educating the children of our world from an early age to shift from a poverty mentality to one of abundance and unlimited possibilities. Our projects are self-sustainable, as they offer tangible plans to create communities that can successfully thrive.

Our Mission is to create two types of buildings. “The Outer-Building“ will provide a safe and permanent home for the children. “The Inner-Building“ will transform them from the inside out through education and life skills.  Our goal is to bring a permanent solution through the implementation of this model to Ghana, and the rest of the world with the ultimate result of “Empowering Children and Women to Greatness.”

Gloria Ramirez, MBA
President

Gloria Ramirez is a Motivational Speaker, a Seminar Leader, Coach, Minister and Healer. Her passion is to inspire people and organizations to maximize their potential and to empower them to live their dreams. Her own life is an example of triumphantly overcoming obstacles.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Gloria is a Platinum Member of Motivational Speaker Les Brown’s network. She is also Bob Proctor’s Certified Life Success Consultant. Gloria is the President of Inner Power, LLC, a fast growing educational company that empowers people around the world through seminars, lectures, healing and coaching to discover, embrace and share their gifts and talents. She is also the founder of Glorious Being Center, an organization devoted to empowering children and women to greatness.

Joy Vodofsky
Vice President

Joy Vodofsky is a Wellness Warrior and a mom on a mission. She is a distributor of the most thoroughly researched whole food based nutritional supplement in the world. Joy’s passion for helping others, especially children, came from the loss of her beautiful daughter Julia who passed away from leukemia at the age of 12 in 1994. Joy believes that Julia is her guardian angel and gives her divine guidance in all areas of her life. Over the past 15 years, Joy has pioneered numerous fund raisers for children who have cancer.

Her daughter-in-law, Heather, invited her to Ghana to volunteer at an orphanage, WORSCA. It would be a life changing experience to meet the women and children of WORSCA. Glorious Beings Center, our Board of Directors and all the volunteers are very excited to be on this journey to build a new home for the children of WORSCA so their lives can be changed – forever.

Nancy Mathews
Director

Nancy is a National Speaker and author with over 25 years of experience in the business and legal communities. Referred to as a “Visionary with Guts’ for her willingness to move forward in the face of fear, adversity and challenge, Nancy has dedicated her life to bringing out the best in others and truly empowering them to live the life of their dreams.

As a business owner, parent and community leader, she has mastered the art of being a balanced and happy entrepreneur and it brings her joy to share the keys to success with others. She shares her gift of “word wizardry” and ability to connect with others in providing marketing services to help them effectively deliver their message.

Vincent Toran, MBA
Director

Vince Toran is an inspiring Motivational Speaker, Management Consultant, Executive Coach and radio host. He spent over 20 years working in corporate America specializing in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing before forming his own firm, Toran Enterprises, LLC. Vincent helps his audiences and clients “see the invisible, so they can do the impossible.”He believes that we are all “miracles in action,” capable of producing miracles in our lives and the lives of others.

Vince received his Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Cornell University and his Masters of Business Administration from Boston University. Vincent speaks on various topics including Leadership, The Power of Choice, Achieving Peace during times of turmoil, Diversity Management and Entrepreneurship.

Agbeko-Kwasi (A.K.) Aheto-Tosu, Ph.D.
Chief Information Officer

Agbeko-Kwasi (A.K.) Aheto-Tosu, Ph.D. is an educator and author whose work centers on helping people confront and transcend real life issues on human relations, culture and diversity, leadership development and conflict management.

From Ghana, A.K. has also lived in Nigeria, Botswana and North America. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from Bethany College, Kansas, a Masters in Cross Disciplinary Studies with focus on Culture and Diversity and a Doctorate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University, Florida.

As an athletic contender, in 2004, A.K. competed in Ghana’s Olympic team trials. He also holds several college records in the 100m and long jump events along with 2 National honors as an All American Scholar Athlete.

With a human centered approach to educating, A.K. continues to support efforts that contribute to individual and group empowerment.

Teree Close-Harrison
Secretary

Teree Close-Harrison is a woman passionate about empowering people to become the person they want to be. Having lived an eclectic life, Teree grew up on an Air Force base in Colorado. After graduating high school she spent some years gaining work experience before joining the US Army. After military service, Teree had acquired computer networking skills which she utilized in civilian practice before finding a passion for pursuing a career as Massage Therapist.

With 11 years of experience in the therapeutic field, through her practice, Teree helps people connect to their ‘main frame’ as a conscious effort to the balance required between mind and body to live an empowered life.

Remaining true to her passion of connecting souls, Teree has dedicated her life’s work to empower the lives of others, beginning with children.

Bancroft Mahoney
Treasurer

Mr. Mahoney has invaluable years of experience in accounting and finances. He has been operating his own financial services business for over 34 years. He is an expert in tax preparation including non-profit organizations. He brings his expertise in business and finance to this project.
